2018 Langhe Nebbiolo DOC "il giardino dei bastioni", Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat dried-floral, tobacco, nutty and tarry scent with aromas of red and black berries as well as a hint of leather and juniper. Firmly woven, tart, ripe, relatively dark fruit, nutty and dried floral aromas, again also tar in the background, dried mushrooms and some cocoa, also a little liquorice, a lot of power, but still only limited persistence, ethereal notes and a trace of malt, hints of cola nut, some warmth, very good finish with noticeable alcohol.

Best to drink: Mitte 2022 bis 2026+. What our ratings mean
