2016 Bolgheri Superiore DOC "Arnione", Tuscany, Italy

Firm and quite deep, multi-layered aroma of very ripe, predominantly dark berries and a hint of figs with Mediterranean herbal nuances, a touch of tar, cherries, black olives, tobacco and dried paprika. Ripe, warm, melting, with air increasingly taut and juicy fruit with chocolaty, toasty wood aromas, some coffee, dried tomatoes and Mediterranean herbs, a little dried lemons in the background, peppery nuances and a hint of mint, a lot of power, some depth, smoky hints and paprika, a hint of tar, very good finish with partly preserved, juicy fruit, clearly chocolaty wood, toasting and Mediterranean spice.
