2019 Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione "Vigna del Capannino", Tuscany, Italy

Quite deep, dried-herbal to tobacco, somewhat malty, nutty-woody and tarry nose of very ripe, partly preserved and dried more black than red berries and plums with leathery hints. Ripe, partly dried and preserved, juicy fruit with lots of ethereal spice, tobacco, roasted nuts and Mediterranean herbs, persistent and very powerful on the palate, warming alcohol, some depth, gains freshness and precision with air, a little liquorice and a hint of tar, peppery and juniper nuances, very good, warm, again ethereal-spicy finish.
