2016 Heppenheim Maiberg Riesling Eiswein, Hessische Bergstrasse, Germany

Brilliant amber colour, not really typical of an ice wine. Firm, deep nose, elegant spicy aromas, dried and candied yellow fruit, herbaceous traces ,hint of tobacco, dried floral notes, nutty traces. Ripe, very sweet, candied and dried clear fruit on the palate, very elegant, lively acidity, light grip, persistent and concentrated, candied nuts, some yellow spice, peppery traces ,excellent substance and depth, cvomplex, still young, long, enchanting, juicy, spicy finish. Resembles a Trockenbeerenauslese more than an ice wine, but certainly an excellent wine.
