2019 Barolo DOCG Briccobergera, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat meaty, earthy, tomato and a little tobacco nose with red and black fruit aromas, chocolate and a little dried flowers. Ripe, a little compote fruit with smoky and bitter chocolate notes, also a little coffee on the palate, hints of liquorice, pickled cherries, crumbly sandy tannin, good persistence, noticeable alcohol, dark ethereal spice in the background, a hint of cigar tobacco, very good, warm finish with sweetish plummy tones.
