2013 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Some dried vegetal to tobacco-like nose, red and some black berries, some foliage, iodine and licorice. Ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, quite juicy fruit on the palate, dried vegetal notes, some foliage, some licorice and cocoa, sweetish spicy notes, fine sandy, rather mature tannins, candied and nutty notes, very delicate malted notes, not particularly deep, good to very good finish good, sweetish finish with slightly warm juice and coffee spices.

Best to drink: Mitte 2018 bis 2023+. What our ratings mean
