2019 Barolo DOCG Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat nutty and tobaccoy, also slightly dried-meaty scent of black and red berries with a little tar in the background as well as a hint of coffee and plums. Ripe, quite juicy, youthful fruit, some smoky and hints of toasty wood, fine sandy tannin and some acid bite, persistent and powerful on the palate, notes of cocoa and coffee, again also plums, ashy traces, a little salt, very good finish with rather dark juice and again cocoa and coffee notes.
