2018 Barolo DOCG Margheria, Piedmont, Italy

Floral, iodine and tomato nose of mixed berries with herbal aromas as well as a hint of pepper and juniper. Ripe, tangy fruit with slightly nutty and again juniper-ethereal spice, quite lively acidity, fine sandy, ripe tannin, good persistence, herbal nuances, lots of oregano, also a little smoke in the background, hints of iodine and salty tones, a little cocoa, very good, quite firm, tangy and spicy finish, again with ethereal notes.
