2001 Barolo DOCG Serralunga, Piedmont, Italy

Appealing nose, partly preserved ripe red berries and plums, with elegant spicy notes and aromas of wilted flowers. Mature in the mouth, red berries, wilted leaves and flowers, astringent tannins, a certain acid bite, not particularly deep, falls apart very quickly with aeration, loses its charm and oak becomes more dominant, acceptable finish.
