2018 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Tart, slightly developed, dried-vegetable to tobacco, delicately smoky and mushroomy aroma with rather restrained red and black berry aromas, hints of undergrowth, leaves, malt and some juniper. Quite taut, juicy, again slightly developed fruit with dark ethereal spice, some smoke and a hint of toasting, lively acidity and present, relatively fine tannin, persistent on the palate, restrained power, herbal aromas, a little salt in the background, some depth, very good, again quite taut finish with bite and Provence herbs.
