2016 Valtellina Superiore DOCG Riserva Grumello "Sant'Antonio", Lombardy, Italy

Firm, tart and quite fine, slightly tobacco aroma of ripe red and somewhat black berries with a hint of dried herbs, some iodine, tar and dried mushrooms. Ripe, again tightly knit, fine-juicy, tart, almost cool-looking fruit, clearly tobacco aromas, some cocoa and coffee grounds, salt and tar in the background, also peppery spice and a trace of juniper, persistent and dense on the palate, good depth, relatively dark character, again a little dried mushrooms, salt in the background, very good to long, tart finish, again with tar.
