2011 Valtellina Superiore DOCG Riserva Inferno "Fiamme Antiche", Lombardy, Italy

Relatively cool, somewhat wilt-floral and foliage-reminiscent scent with notes of black berries as well as earthy to mineral and tobacco nuances. Clear, tart, again rather cool fruit, bitterish-juicy, tobacco, earthy and herbal notes, a little coriander, fine sandy tannin, hints of cocoa, persistent on the palate, certain acid bite, salty in the background, has bite, still rather young, quite complex, has tension, very good finish.
