2019 Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG passito, Umbria, Italy

Firm, somewhat smoky aroma of ripe, partly dried, predominantly black fruit with some minty, ethereal herbal notes, a hint of pepper and juniper, bread bark and nutty traces. Ripe, juicy, sweet fruit, taut, youthful, yet relatively fine tannin, some bite, has power and substance, a little ethereal notes on the palate, a hint of cocoa, persistent, certain depth, still young, floral nuances, very good, juicy and finely spiced finish.
