2008 Montefalco Rosso DOC Riserva, Umbria, Italy

Translate to English Leicht entwickelter, tabakiger, holzwürziger und ein wenig getrocknet-pilziger Duft nach reifen schwarzen Beeren mit einem Hauch Suppenkräuter, teerigen Nuancen sowie erdigen bis mineralischen Tönen. Reife, herb-saftige Frucht, wieder tabakige und auch leicht nussige Holzwürze, ein wenig Bitterschokolade und wieder Teer am Gaumen, präsentes, überwiegend mürbes Tannin, eine Spur Trockenkräuter, im Hintergrund mineralisch, viel Kraft und fester Bau, sehr gute Nachhaltigkeit, gewisse Tiefe, sehr guter Abgang. Wesentlich besser als die offenbar von einem schleichenden Kork beeinträchtigte erste Flasche.
