2023 Verduno Pelaverga (Verduno) DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Clear red berry nose with some foliage and forest floor, hints of dark berries and fine woody notes reminiscent of tree bark. Lively, juicy and surprisingly cool, extremely fresh fruit with lively acidity and a hint of carbonic acid, some leaves, forest floor and tree bark in the background, good persistence, salty and floral tones, a little real, sugar-free fruit sweetness, very good, lively, juicy and finely spicy finish. Very animating.
