2020 Barbera d'Asti DOCG "Casa Scarpa", Piedmont, Italy

Clear, relatively cool aroma of more black than red berries with dried planty to herbal nuances and a hint of iron. Tart and juicy, again rather cool, relatively dark fruit, some nutty and smoky tones, herbs in the background, fine tannin and some acidity, persistent on the palate, again a little iron in the background, a hint of pepper, good to very good, again tart finish with a little soup herbs and salt.
