2018 Barbaresco DOCG "Tettineive®", Piedmont, Italy

Clear, rather calm aroma of more red than black berries with nutty hints, tobacco, tar, hints of pepper, chilli and a touch of tomato green. Tart, polished fruit with nutty and tobacco flavours, a hint of dark chocolate and herbs, mushroomy nuances in the background, crumbly, quite firm tannin, persistent on the palate, moderate barrel tones, clearly salt, a little juniper in the background, quite traditional style, hints of capers and black olives, very good, firm, tart, spicy and again salty finish.
