2021 Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Tuscany, Italy

Firm, somewhat leathery-animalic nose, ripe black berries with a hint of plums, herbaceous-vegetable aromas, earthy, peppery and bacony nuances in the background. Warm, fairly firm, partly preserved dark fruit, smoky and slightly sooty notes, crumbly, sandy, slightly drying tannins, good persistence, lots of alcoholic strength, slightly salty in the background, a little forest floor, very good, again fairly warm finish with dark juice, slightly vegetal tones and again some soot.
