2021 Maremma Toscana DOC Sangiovese "Saragio", Tuscany, Italy

Tart, slightly earthy aroma of predominantly dark berries with dried-vegetable to tobacco nuances and a little blood in the background. Ripe, juicy, warm fruit, partly preserved, nutty and chocolaty tones on the palate, crumbly-sandy, slightly drying tannins, some rum pot, iron, meat and blood, good persistence, ample alcoholic strength, good to very good, somewhat bitter finish with rum pot and brandy notes.
