2007 Montenetto di Brescia IGT Montenetto, Lombardy, Italy

Prominent sour cherries on the nose, some sweetish plums, a touch of cinnamon and some sandalwood. Intense black fruit on the palate, light spicy oak, soft, sweetish and full-bodied, integrated acidity, moderate, but slightly blunt tannins, not particularly elegant, but full of character and quite refreshing, good substance, good long finish.
