2020 Valtellina Superiore DOCG "Creazione", Lombardy, Italy

Somewhat leathery, tobacco, earthy and dried floral aromas of more red than black berries with restrained barrel notes and vegetal nuances. Clear, straightforward, tart fruit with fine sandy, rather crumbly tannins and some acid bite, a hint of cocoa and coffee grounds in the background, a little citrus zest and redcurrants, certain persistence, quite cool type, still a touch drying, good to very good finish, again with coffee and cocoa nuances.
