Fragrance somewhat reminiscent of foliage and undergrowth with restrained aromas of red and black berries as well as floral hints, a little iodine and tar. Ripe, quite juicy fruit with tart, somewhat cocoa-spicy wood notes, earthy tones and hints of tar, also nutty flavours on the palate, fine sandy, relatively friable tannin, a hint of ash, good persistence, salty hints, very good, rather tart finish that gains juice with air.

Best to drink: 2022-2027+. What our ratings mean
