2007 Chianti DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Relatively tart, animal and old woody scent of mixed berries, some cherries, a little tobacco and soup herbs with earthy notes. Slightly jammy fruit on the palate, bitter tart cocoa, notes of tobacco and earthy notes, fairly prominent, relatively dry tannins, full-bodied, good persistence, noticeable alcohol, notes of sugar candy and caramel, touch of cocoa, good roasted notes on an alcoholic aftertaste drying tannins.
