2004 Toscana IGT "Quinto", Tuscany, Italy

Fawn colour. Clearly developed, malted nose with a hint of iodine, dried vegetal and earthy notes, restrained berry fruit, some meaty juices, mushrooms and soup stock. Mature tart fruit on the palate, nutty,spicy oak, more earthy and light meaty notes, mushrooms and soup stock in the background, smoky and light salty notes, slightly sandyand astringent tannins, hint of cardamom, cocoa, coffee and licorice on a good to very good finish.
