Clear, rather firm, rather tart nose of more black than red berries with dried floral nuances, nutty hints and a touch of tar. Firm also in the mouth, dark, tart fruit, smoky-roasty and nutty wood flavours, present, fine sandy tannin, chalky and salty flavours in the background, persistent, a touch ethereal, tobacco nuances, cocoa, very good finish.

Best to drink: 2023-2027+. What our ratings mean
