Firm, somewhat fleshy and peppery, also slightly dried-vegetable to herbal scent of blackcurrants with a hint of cherries and hints of iodine. Ripe, tart, quite concentrated, youthful black fruit, present, fine tannin, some bite, lots of power, persistent and dense on the palate, smoky notes, herbs, pepper and a little iodine, in the background also some pepper, bacony nuances, then salt, still barely developed, lots of power and noticeable alcohol, very good, firm finish. Must mature
