2017 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Campo di Marzo", Tuscany, Italy

Tart, somewhat dried-vegetable, earthy and noticeably animalic aroma of black and a little red berries with tobacco and tarry notes, a little pepper and hints of bacon. Dark, partly preserved fruit with bitterish coffee and cocoa notes, nutty, tobacco and dried floral aromas and fine sandy tannin, some bite, juniper notes, a little salt, noticeable alcohol, hints of liquorice and cola nut, again bitter wood spice in the otherwise very good finish.
