2016 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Tart, somewhat dried-herbal, slightly ethereal aroma of predominantly black berries with a hint of plums, camphor, black olives and pepper. Tart fruit also in the mouth, slightly bitter-chocolate spice and a hint of tar, some acid bite, bitterish herbal tones reminiscent of camphor, good persistence, salt in the background, a hint of bitter orange, good to very good, a little drying finish.
