2016 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru AOC Château La Croizille, Bordeaux, France

Somewhat cedary, restrained fleshy, smoky and tobacco aromas of ripe black and blue berries with dried tomatoes and black olives as well as some earthy tones. Taut, quite fresh, tart, juicy black fruit, smoky and somewhat roasted wood flavours, tobacco and slightly juniper tones, crumbly-sandy tannins, powerful and persistent on the palate, Mediterranean herbs in the background, some cardamom and cocoa, very good, firm finish with warm juice and minty notes.
