2017 Brut Rosé, V.S.Q., Italy

Cool, distinctly herbal and delicately undergrowthy, also yeasty nose with yellow and red fruit aromas, wild mushrooms and a hint of moss. Firmly woven, tangy fruit with fine, partly nutty spice, lively, quite fine mousseux, good substance and persistence, dark berries in the background, dried floral nuances, a hint of bacon, good substance and some depth, very good, taut, tangy and again finely spicy finish with bite.
