2003 Valtellina Superiore DOCG Sassella, Lombardy, Italy

Aromas of very ripe, partly dried, partly marinated red berries and some plums on the nose, cool mineral as well as sweetish herbaceous notes. Slightly sweetish fruit on the palate, some more red berries, hints of wilted leaves, some more herbaceous notes, fine, slightly astringent tannins, fairly creamy, good persistence, medium body, not particularly deep, good finish.
