Firm, mature, partly dried fruit on the palate, prominent tart, smoky, spicy oak, smoked bacon, bitter herbaceous notes and tobacco in the background, earthy and mineral notes, persistent and full-bodied, oak makes it a little brittle, good substance and has some depth, very good tart finish. The oak is now coming through more stronglys, and tends to dominate the wine with bitter, brittle notes.
