2005 Maremma Toscana IGT "Ilatraia", Tuscany, Italy

Nutty and clearly woody aroma of ripe black berries with dried floral nuances and a hint of tobacco. Ripe, tart, rather dark fruit, fine sandy tannin, toasty and slightly smoky wood flavours, lasting and powerful, warming alcohol, some depth, very good, firm, somewhat toasty-spicy finish with dark juice.
