Description to V.T. Valles de Sadacia

The IGP area for white wines is in the region of La Rioja, located in the north of Spain. The name derives from "Sádaco", the ancient Roman name of the river Cidacos. The area includes four of the seven river valleys crossing the region in 42 municipalities. These are the rivers Alhama, Cidacos, Iregua and Leza. This area has the most hours of sunshine and the least rainfall in the region. The white wines must contain at least 85% of the varieties Moscatel de Grano Menudo (Muscat Blanc) or Moscatel de Alejandría (Muscat d'Alexandrie). Up to a maximum of 15%, the varieties Viura (Macabeo), Malvasía Riojana (Alarije) and Garnacha Blanca can also be used. See also under Rioja.
