Description to San Marino

The small dwarf republic (61 km²) is located in north-eastern central Italy between the two regions of Emilia-Romagna and Marche. The vineyards cover 225 hectares of vines. Most of the winegrowers deliver their grapes to the Consorzio Vini Tipici di San Marino. The wines are produced from the grape varieties Moscato Bianco (Muscat Blanc) with the largest proportion of sweet sparkling wine, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc).
