Description to Saint-Romain AOC
The appellation, named after the village of the same name, has 83 hectares of vineyards and is located in the Côte de Beaune part of the Burgundy Côte d'Or. There are no Grands Crus or Premiers Crus. Approximately half of the production is white (from Chardonnay with shares of Pinot Blanc) and half red (from Pinot Noir with shares of Pinot Gris and Pinot Liébault). An alternative AC exclusively for red wines is Saint-Romain-Côte de Beaune.
