Description to Haut-Médoc AOC
The southern part of the French Médoc area, which is also defined as its own appellation with 5,200 hectares of vines (the northern part is called Bas-Médoc). Six famous villages form their own communal appellations within Haut-Médoc. These are Margaux, Moulis, Listrac-Médoc, Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe and Saint-Julien.
