Description to D.O. Uclés
The DO area named after the municipality of the same name is located in the west of the Spanish region of La Mancha. It was only classified in 2005. The vineyards cover 1,500 hectares of vineyards in the two provinces of Cuenca and Toledo. The DO only applies to red wines that may be made from the authorised varieties Cencibel (Tempranillo), Garnacha Tinta, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
