Description to Copertino DOC
DOC area for red wine and rosé wine in the Italian region of Puglia. The zone includes areas of the municipalities of Arnesano, Copertino, Galatina, Lequile and Monteroni di Lecce in the province of Lecce. The wine types Rosso (also as a longer matured Riserva) and Rosato are blended from Negroamaro (zum. 70%), as well as Malvasia Nera di Brindisi or variety Malvasia Nera di Lecce, Montepulciano and max. 15% Sangiovese (together max. 30%).
