Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG
| Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG |
Description to Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG
DOCG area for white wine in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. The upgrading from DOC to DOCG took place in 2010 under the designation Colli Bolognesi Classico Pignoletto and at that time included the Classico area within the DOC area Colli Bolognesi. The name was then changed to Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto and the area was extended in 2014. The vineyards cover 182 hectares. The Superiore (also known as Frizzante and Spumante) is produced from Grechetto Gentile or locally also called Alionzina = Pignoletto (zum. 85%), Pinot Nero = Pinot Noir (max. 15%) as well as other approved varieties (max. 15%). It can be called Superiore Classico if the grapes (in this case 95%) come from the Classico area, the wine is aged for at least 12 months and has an alcohol content of 13% vol.
