Colli Bolognese - Weinberge Colli Bolognese Pignoletto

If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the name of the vineyard. The Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG area has been in existence since 2010. For the white wines from Grechetto Gentile = Pignoletto the DOC area Pignoletto was created in 2014. The pure variety wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety. The white wines are Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco = Pinot Blanc, Riesling Italico = Welschriesling and Sauvignon = Sauvignon Blanc. From all of them there is also a Superiore. The red wines are Barbera (also as Riserva), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. From some there are also the wine types Passito, Frizzante and Spumante.

These wines are only valid for the Bologna subzone: Bianco is produced from Sauvignon, Rosso from Cabernet Sauvignon (50% each). There is also a Riserva from both. The Spumante is produced from Chardonnay and/or Pinot Bianco (40%), as well as any mixture of Sauvignon, Riesling, Pinot Nero and Pignoletto
