Bramaterra DOC

Description to Bramaterra DOC

DOC area for red wine in the Italian region of Piedmont. It is named after a hill of clay and pebble mixture on quartz-bearing volcanic rock, on which the approximately 35 hectares of vineyards are located. The zone covers in its entirety the municipalities of Brusnengo, Curino, Masserano, Sostegno and Villa del Bosco in the province of Biella, and the municipalities of Lozzolo and Roasio in the province of Vercelli. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the name of the vineyard can be indicated on the label. The wine is blended from the varieties Spanna = Nebbiolo (50-80%), Croatina (max. 30%), and Bonarda Novarese = Uva Rara and/or Vespolina (max. 20%). There is also a Riserva with longer ripening time.
In this section you will find
currently 165,387 Wines and 25,033 Producers, including 3,160 classified producers.
