2018 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Riserva "Burgum Novum", Alto Adige, Italy

Clear, firm aroma of ripe black and red berries with floral aromas, a little herbs and hints of ethereal spice. Tart and juicy, quite firmly woven, ripe, polished fruit, fine acidity and ripe, still youthful tannin, persistent, juniper-ethereal notes, mountain herbs in the background, smoky tones and a little liquorice, very good, quite firm finish with some alcohol warmth.

Editor note: Somewhat nutty-woody-spicy and dark tobacco aroma of ripe red berries with mushroomy and floral nuances as well as a little blackberry. Clear, ripe, quite polished, juicy, relatively dark fruit, very fine, youthful and some bite, very well integrated, slightly smoky-spicy wood, persistent and powerful on the palate, a little salt, cooling ethereal nuances, some depth, still young, very good, firm finish with tart juice and again some wood spice.
