The winery is located in the community of Kirrweiler (area Südliche Weinstraße) in the German wine-growing region Pfalz
. The foundation was laid after the Second World War by the grandparents of the current owner. The following generation, Inge and Hermann Zöller, developed it from a mixed agricultural enterprise into a pure wine-growing business. Today it is managed by Thomas Zöller in the third generation. An estate bar and a guest house are connected. The vineyards comprise 15 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Mandelberg
, Oberschloss and Römerweg (Kirrweiler), as well as Doktor (Venningen). They are planted to 60% with the white wine varieties Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Scheurebe, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Morio Muscat and Chardonnay, and to 40% with the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Portugieser, Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon and Regent. The best wines of a vintage are aged in barriques for at least nine months. Fine spirits (wine, yeast, fruit) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
