2016 Spätburgunder trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Very slightly developed, somewhat nutty, mushroomy, delicately floral and hints of animal aromas of red berries with a little cherry and a hint of marzipan. Straight, tangy fruit with spicy wood aromas, ripe, crumbly tannins, good persistence, dried mushrooms, green bacon and a hint of laurel in the background, hints of pepper and aniseed, salty-mineral tones in the very good, just a hint drying finish.
