Slim and cool, yet very concentrated, dark fruit with a bite of acidity, firm tannins and smoky, nutty and subtly tarry-sooty wood notes, present, fine tannins and bite, persistent, herbs on the palate, peppery ether, behind it salty and chalky minerality, elegant style, deep, complex and firm, distinctly austere character, a touch of tobacco ash and grilled pepper, long, firm finish.
