2019 Landwein "Schulen", Baden, Germany

Tart, youthful and rather firm cherry scent with red and black berry aromas, a little tobacco, juniper and herbal nuances. Taut, tart and juicy, relatively cool looking, again cherry accentuated fruit, a little elderberry, herbal and distinctly chalky-salty tones, noticeable acid bite, present, fine, youthful tannin, persistent on the palate, peppery-ethereal spice in the background, still little developed, some depth, pithy style, very good, tart and juicy finish with a lot of bite and distinct minerality. Needs to mature.
