2019 Grauburgunder Landwein "Jaspis Würmlin", Oberrhein, Germany

Nutty, somewhat dried vegetal and a touch bacony aroma with restrained, pome fruit accentuated yellow fruit aromas, floral and red berry traces and hints of wood spice. Ripe, juicy, yet tart fruit, nutty, yeasty and relatively light woody tones, some acid bite and quite present, fine sandy tannin, still drying very slightly, vegetal flavours, chalk and salt in the background, persistent and powerful on the palate, lots of melting, warm and cool elements, good depth, firm construction, very good, firm, quite juicy finish with grip and minerality. Needs time.
