2018 Landwein "Tschuppen", Baden, Germany

Clear, quite polished nose of ripe mixed berries and a little cherry with floral and tobacco nuances, a little dried herbs and a hint of elder. Juicy, fresh again polished fruit with very fine, youthful tannins and some bite, nutty, hints of tobacco and delicate juniper tones, some pepper, chalk and salt in the background, has some power and warmth, very good, quite juicy finish with herbal flavours and rather dark spice. Very much wine for the money.
