2018 Spätburgunder Landwein "Jaspis Bürgin", Oberrhein, Germany

Firm, quite concentrated aroma of black and blue berries and a little cherry with herbal nuances, okra, a hint of juniper, cigar ash and dark floral tones. Ripe, juicy, partly candied dark fruit, ripe, friable tannin, still drying a little, some bite, lots of power and also melting, smoky nuances, a hint of liquorice and dark chocolate, powerful and persistent on the palate, clearly ethereal, coffee grounds, bacon and lots of pepper in the background, liqueur-like traces, grilled cabbage, very good, slightly warm, again also still slightly drying finish.
